I purchased an 950p monitor 7-8 mths ago at Onvia.com. Anyway the monitor is showing green everywhere now. I call samsung CS and they say i need a reciept or order form showing the GST number. I call Onvia and they fax me the order list with the GST number. I call back samsung CS and they say call one of our Authorized Repair Shops (ARS). I call the ars and they say i need a reciept... i respond to say that samsung says i just need a gst number to put the warranty in effect. they disagree. i call back samsung and they now say that i need a reciept. i say to them its not possible because online order don't give out receipt, just order summarys with GST#. they say sort it out with the ars. to make a long story short, i'm not stuck with this green @ss 19' peice of sh!t monitor and will never ever buy samsung again! Rant over, peace out.

i'm sorry to hear your problems
but i bought a samsung 900nf, and had a defect...
samsungs policy is suppose to be you don't even need a reciept
the serial # on the back of the monitor is suppose to be enought
but a lot of the repair centers don't know that policy, and some just don't want the hassle
because than they have to call samsung for authorization....
try a couple repair centers...

So Samsung is not a good company,
a good company should let you rma with no reason (in case it's not their fault, you pay for shipping back to you),
with receipt, warranty is from the date of purchase,
without receipt, warranty is from the date of production.

Hello There...

Sorry that you had a hard time getting service from us... Is it replaced or fixed now? Please let me know so I can get you the first rate service that we promise our customers... The fact is that the warranty will be honored without a receipt as long as the product is manufactured within 3 years which is the case your 950p because we released it within 2 years ago (the manufacturing date should be in the back of your monitor). The repair center may not be aware of that policy and the person from Samsung you spoke to is either new or really dont know what he/she is doing. That we need to correct here so if you have the person's name, feel free to pass it to me so I can talk to him/her to make sure that the policy is beind followed. A lot of people here do care about our reputation so please feel free to email me if you have any questions. Thanks

Wow, that's cool!
Wish all companies would learn to post here and help us out :D:);)
