TouchWiz makes it very iPhone-like. I hate that more. With a more vanilla Android experience, its easier for the community to overcome the shortcomings of stock Android.

With an open boot loader and an active dev community, Android tablets will quickly surpass the iPad just as Android phones have surpassed Apple's offering.

Of course but the target audience for tablets is NOT people that are going to root/jailbreak their device. People want their device to be easier to use which is why they want to buy a tablet instead of a netbook. That's why rooting/jailbreaking a phone isn't a valid answer to fix a phone's shortcoming because most of the people that buy the phone are not going to do that.

If I got a tablet it would be mainly used as a couch surfer. For that I need 10" plus screen size.

How about a title change to the official GT thread?

Amazon UK just reduced the pricing from $1200 to ~$950 (unsubsidized) Maybe $150 less for a WiFi only version?

Damn, the price is insane, the 64GB 3G iPad is $849.

I could almost justify it if they left the phone active in the US version(s).

And here's a video by Samsung: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHOZZJ_2Wjg

Pound-to-dollar conversion prices are never correct. Stuff's just more expensive across the pond.

Someone should design a tablet with no bezel, just pure screen.
7 inch is hand holdable with no bezel. Make an accessory case with bezel for people who want to hold it from side.
