I'm not a prosumer by a long shot when it comes to cameras, but I can't help but get a gimmicky vibe from this product in addition to the last couple of products Samsung has been releasing as of lately. In my opinion, they've been trying to merge different product lines into a singular product, but the stuff they produce (at least in my mind) is mediocre and "jack of all trades, but master of none".
Integrating Android into a serious camera is cool and all, but I don't see the point of having a full-fledged smartphone OS built-in to such a specialized device. If the whole point is to be able to instantly upload images to your favorite social networking site and/or photo album site, you can build one or two apps to do it. I also don't see the need for this convenience when it doesn't take much time or effort to transfer your photos to a laptop and upload it there. Are people in this much of a rush to upload their photos? We already have wifi enabled cameras today which are capable of transferring your photos to an off-device storage space where you may upload from later.
