Samsung F1 Reliability

So I'm looking for 2-3 data drives. Speed doesn't matter as much as its not going to be a boot drive but I want something reliable. Normally I only use seagates for my data drives but I was wondering if the Samsung 750 is reliable? If I get any should I make sure I have enough to keep important dating on RAID 1? I know its always a shot in the dark but figured I'd ask..

I've run one for a few months and its been fine so far. Only thing is if you're running an NV chipset, you can't use these drives as your boot drive or boot array. They need to have NCQ disabled within Windows, so attempting to install an OS on these drives is a crapshoot if you're on an NV chipset.

I'm using a HD753LJ (750GB) a my OS/boot drive w/ NCQ enable. It connected to an N4 SATA w/ Driver 5.10.2600.666. I've used it for about a month and I haven't had a problem yet.

I've got the 750GB SpinPoint F1 you're thinking of in my rig. Only a few months old at this point, but no issues to speak of (Intel chipset board). Much quieter and less prone to vibration than the old Seagates I had (can't speak for the modern Seagates though), and a bit cooler-running.

I've had my 1TB Samsung for about 3 months and it's been running fine. From Newegg reviews, some say these are unreliable.

Just got my Samsung 750GB F1.

Seems o.k so far...But, Newegg really packaged it up poorly.
It looked like it was packed by a monkey, in a plastc case and just wraped in paper with some peanuts under the paper. Box looks like ups used it for a football🙁
Hope it lasts for awhile.
