Perhaps some people don't care for the cooler (mediocre) & the hassle of all the steps necessary to get these products to their final price.
It IS a good price for the two, don't get me wrong. If one wanted to go through all that, once could end up w/a nice HDD & could always resell the cooler to almost end up w/the HDD for free.
