Samsung exiting SSD market?

I guess I need to get off my ass and pickup a drive or two. I'm running out of room with storage, and I still use sata. I could make do using spinners for simple data storage, but yuck...

Anyone have experience with nvme-sata adapters? If they work pretty well, maybe I won't worry about it.

Do they even exist? Closest I can think of are USB 3+ / Thunderbolt to NVMe adapters. And many of those are already either a bottleneck, or too expensive, or both.

There's a bunch of stuff on amazon. I haven't looked closely. I just wanted to confirm they're actually a thing. I'll figure out exactly what I'm doing in the near future, and decide the best path forward.

At a quick glance, I saw M.2 SATA to SATA adapters.
Or M.2 NVMe to U.2.
But I didn't see NVMe to SATA?

(I'm guessing the next NAS I buy will have several NVMe slots. No imminent plans.)
