Samsung DVD Player Troubles

I don't know what happend but I took my portable DVD player on a trip with me. It worked fine most of the trip. However, about half way through it suddenly quit working. The screen now only shows vertical multicolored lines. Everything else still works, including sound. Any idea what the problem is and is it easy to fix or is this DVD Player done?

Sounds like a blown ic chip. Usually caused from plugging in inputs etc with the power on. My Sony Wega just died the same death. Is it still under warranty ?

The good news is, I didn't save a bunch on my car insurance but I bought a new LCD HDTV 🙂
