Samsung CLP-315W Wireless install problems

I can't get my CLP-315W to install for wireless printing. It is installed fine for wired printing, but whenever I try to do anything wireless I get either printer not found errors or WLAN not supported by printer error.

I've tried samsung's Easy Wireless Setup, the install disc, and manually going to IP address to no avail.

any help appreciated. running Windows 8.

The error message I get when trying to connect using a USB cable from the printer to the computer and Samsung Easy Wireless Setup is (and I get the same error on multiple laptops):

WLAN Support error:
Setup failed to bring WLAN data from the selected printer.
The selected printer doesn't support wireless setting, so this printer cannon be connected with your computer wirelessly.
Please select other connection types or other printers which supports wireless settings.
