Samsung CDRW/DVD SM-352B problem!

Hi all, I have a Samsung CDRW/DVD SM-352B combo cd burner/dvd player. The unit burns cdr and cdrw fine but I notice when I play DVDs it jerks occasionally. (Not my system as my Sony DVD burner plays DVDs fine) But also if I use DVDxcopy or DVDxpress to backup my dvds and extract from the Samsung after a little while I will get an error about the unit not able to read bad sectors. I have flashed to latest firmware and still get the same probs. The sony does everything fine. Could the DVD funtionality of the samsung unit be fubared? Or is this a known issue whit this particular model. Couldnt find any solid info regarding this anywhere. I thought Samsung made good stuff? Could it be defective? Ive only had it 2 1/2 months. Thanks.
