I'm thinking of getting an OEM Samsung drive. (Only costs $90 shipped)
It's a 16x10x32 drive.
Does anyone have any experience with these drives?
Is it worth getting, or should I spend a bit more money on a better drive?

i believe they're jsut a rebadged something or other...

their 12X drives have justlink, which is ricoh technology...

i believe ricoh DOES NOT make a 16x (12x and 20x), so it might be something else (i.e. yamaha)

sounds good regardless..

I don't know if they make their own CD-RW drives but I know they make their own CD-ROM drives. I just replaced a dead Samsung 32X CD-ROM this weekend. The motor would make an awful noise and it would read very slowly (if at all). So, I guess I would NOT recommend them.
