retail samsung mlc sata3 ssd will show up first in akihabara district shops as oem pack - likely 256gb flavor

this is samsung product & is already committed to notebook production lines --- retail if you are fortunate to find it...

at last pressure on intel to release next gen ssd's (it's all about the controller & not about the nand) - sf is about to learn that "others" generally do not engage in global beta testing (w/ exception of ms)...

intel controllers already exist, time to get big wheel turning...

Samsung is here to stay. And they are positioning themselves very well.
First, they have shi*load of cash to invest in SSD market, as their products are more diversified than of any other SSD maker.
Second, they make their own controllers so they won't suffer from buggy 3rd party controllers that they have no control of.
Not to mention that they have their own foundry. We're looking at tier 1 SSD maker.

Yes, Samsung is going great guns these days. Not surprising, really. I work with a fair number of Koreans, and when I came into work the other day an hour early, they were the only other employees in the building. The quality of their work, to a man and woman, is unmatched.

nice, cant wait for more performance specs!
