But it's not edge to edge. It has a bezel. And the recess of the screen below the glass is off putting, at least for me. It's nonsense.
You are probably talking about the marketing/comercial they run in the USA, I am not from the USA so I saw it just once by chance on youtube or somewhere. Maybe I should use "edge to edge" instead, but was just an expression so people can easier understand what I was talking about. Of course it's not edge to edge I hope no one is that blind here 🙂

Wait so it will take an extra second or two to open an app?

JESUS CHRIST that's just HORRIBLE.

🙄

If this phone is targeted at the not quite so techy people (like my GF) then they'll be heading straight back to a feature phone after this thing gets chucked out the car window. I'm just surprised Samsung would dilute the brand by allowing a steaming pile to have Galaxy S III on it. Maybe they don't understand how we associate brand in the US? Or maybe it's not quite as bad as we're making it out to be...

I'm a techy person, but I'm also patient. Few seconds won't kill me.

There are already budget phones that use the S4 soc so theres absolutely no reason to buy this phone.
The pantech flex and.LG ??? Are both 4.3" budget phones that use the S4.

Samsung is a hundred years behind companies like Apple when it comes to understanding the value of a brand. They created this successful lineup called Galaxy. THen they diluted it by calling all their Android phones Galaxy. Now they are diluting their premium line by calling garbage Galaxy S. No surprise, really.
