Samsung adds start menu to its Windows 8 PCs.

If its location is configurable, the middle of the taskbar makes no sense to me, and it can intercept the WinKey and Ctrl+ESC combinations it'll be usable. But if hitting the WinKey still takes you to the Metro screen it'll be worthless.
 
its still not the same, but there will be plenty of 3rd party start menu's comming out this year.
 
There was a mention of this on either Ars or The Register, and they did make the point that the source of the screenshots is questionable.
