Samsung A670 troubles

Anyone know how to make an A670 not beep when you get a text message? I have it set to vibrate, but whenever I get a text message, it will beep and vibrate.

You can set the ringer for text messages to be the same as the voice ringer. Easily done in the menu.

Menu > Messages > Msg Setting > General > Msg Alert and select silent or whatever you want.

I did, it is set to vibrate, the types (for choice 2) are all just normal rings (since they can't be anything else), and the reminder is set for once. It will still beep.

The types are irrelevant. That is the noise they will make when the msg alert is set to anything other than silent, 1 beep, or vibrate. Again, carefully follow my instructions and incoming texts will no longer beep.

Also, set the "reminder" to OFF.

Sorry about the delayed response, I had to run to the store for my dad. I didn't realize the reminder had to be set to off. Thanks for the help.

Thought that may be it.

You're welcome. It drove me nuts too until I figured it out. Why the ringer settings for the messages is in a different area than all the other ringer settings is beyond me. And why the reminder isn't tied to the ringer is beyond me as well.
