Samsung a530s help!?

I've had an a530s with Verizon for a few weeks now.

Last night, and a couple other times, I have gone to bed with it mostly charged, but in the middle of the night it shuts off. It wouldn't turn on fully when I tried to. So I plugged it into the charger and it was all set an hour later.

Is my phone defective? Should I go get a replacement?

I got it at Circuit City when they had all of the phones free after rebate. I did get their replacement plan though.
