I own a Samsung Syncmaster 959NF monitor and I have some major problems with it.
The brightness on my monitor is too low. It's set at 100% and I've literally tried every setting on the monitor and the image is just too dark compared to my friends who also own Samsungs (but not NF). For example, a friend of mine has a Samsung 759DF (I think) and he has an insanely brighter (read: normal) picture as I. This is a real pain for me because everyone that comes to my place complains about the image beeing too dark, especially because we viewa lot of pictures and movies.
I would be REALLY thankful if you can come up with some ideas how to fix this. I don't want to take to the repais (I don't have the warranty anymore), because it would cost me a lot of money which I don't have. I've tried setting the brightness higher in my card drivers (ATI) but it's just not the same and for some strange reason it resets everytime I change a resolution and it doesn't seem to set brighntess when viewing a video. I've also tried every setting my monitor has and resetted it back to factory settings several times. It's always the same.
If anyone has ANY suggestions what this might be or any ways to fix it, please help as I am desperate as hell.
For an example how bad this actually is; I read a lot some web page that has a dark design to it - today I was at my friends house and viewed that page from his monitor and I saw some dark greyish logos on the site that aren't even visible on my monitor.
