Samsung 955DF vs 997DF

Anandtech recommends the Samsung 955DF, but it looks to me like the specs are better on the 997DF. What am I missing? Why would I want the 955DF instead?

You wouldn't . . . and the 997 is the newer model . . . unlikely to be included in the AT review . . . yet. 😉
 
I just picked up the 997DF and it's a great monitor. It looks pretty good right out of the box, but once you adjust the color with the included software it really looks fantastic. It's a steal with the $20 rebate at Best Buy. It's not anywhere near as bulky as the 955DF that I had a couple of years ago.

How do they compare at the higher resolutions . . . . say 10x12?

My 955df barely gets 80 hz at that res and i usually run 11x8 @ 85hz 😛

asking because my 955 is gettin old (over 4 years) and the off/on switch is sticking . . . thinking of an UPgrade!?! . . . replacement?! . . . lcd??! . . .
