I have a Samsung 955df, and I am encountering screen aesthetic scratch marks.
:(

I have three questions :

1) What is the proper way of taking care of a monitor? As in cleaning the screen, when there is dust, and oil smudges from fingers.

2) What is the warrantee for the samsung monitors?

3) Tonight while I was sort of snubbing one of the oily marks on my screen. I instead created a new aesthetic problem. While I was snubbing my monitor, I created these scratched marks, as in I rub off a partial coating on the monitor screen which looks like scratch marks. Has anyone run into this problem. Is there a way to fix it?

1. I clean my monitor by using an anti-static lens cleaning cloth made by scotch-bright. It's a special cloth that removes particles and oils without the use of chemicals. I just sprinkle some distilled water on my monitor and then I wipe it up with this cloth. It cleans it great and I make sure my monitor is smudge and dust free.

2. Samsung Monitors have a three year warrenty according to the sticker that was on my monitor.

3. That coating is the anti-glare coating of the monitor.:( It prevents light from relecting off the monitor. I would try to clean the monitor like the way I suggested and hope that it doesn't cause further damage.
