Well after some advice from you people and looking around I find myself with these 2 monitors at the top. Which do you think is better and why? It is really more then I wanted to spend ($350+) but want a good monitor. I play some games and am going to have a Ti200 GF3 graphics card. Let me know about these 2 or any other good monitors you know of for under $350 or so. Thanks for the tips :)

I'd go with the Sony. MWave has it for $360. Don't even think you can find the 900NF for that much.

I pick Sony just because of personal preference. I have not see the 900NF first hand...

I'd second on the Sony. I have 2 now and planning on getting a 3rd. I've always had great luck with them and the picture quality is outstanding

This question made me break a sweat :D

The ultimate answer would be that you should look at them and compare them for yourself. The 900NF uses a Mitsubishi DiamondTron which IMO looks a tad brighter than the Sony Trinitron tubes, but the Trinitrons usually have better convergence which means a more consistently sharp image. I personally prefer the Trinitron look, but am more than happy with the DiamondTron (have been using an NEC FE950+ for about 7 months and I love it).

I dont need a 21" so those other threads dont help much. But this is a good debate. People seem to be split on this. My problem is I have nowhere to see these 2 monitors and compare them in person. Therefore I must trust you people. :)

Another vote for Sony. I bought a 19" Samsung for my GF's mother, and while it was nice, I still prefer Trinitron tubes.

A vote for the sony. I own a 900nf, but that's cos it was cheaper.

The sony's are awesome monitors as long as you don't get one with bad geometry.

Hehe good 1. Wish it were that easy. I really do not want to spend $350+ on a monitor. Anyone know of a good alternative to the Sony or Samsung? I do like the Hitachi CM721F for about $100 less but have gotten mixed reviews about it. Thanks all except LuNoTiCK ;) jk
