Title pretty much say sit, which would be better, everybody I have seen always recommends the 900NF, but my local stores only have the 955DF, and I don't want to pay for shipping this, if everyone still says the 900NF is the better one, then i will have to get it from gateway while shipping is free. LMK

I live in Columbus, OH, and while if I have to i will buy this on the sole fact that everyone else seems to like it, but I would really like to see one for myself. There are 2 maybe 3 gateway countries in my city, I called one and they have none of these on display, I will have to call the others. I have a few bestbuys, compusa's , staples, office max, office depot's, but to my knowledge none of these places sell the 900NF. There is a Micro Center here to, they have the 955DF and I saw it, it looked nice enough, but I have heard the 900NF looks better, but they have none of those. Anubody know where I can see one of these here?

i believe the NF series is using Aperture Grill and it is using the same tube as Trinitron

and that is what SONY is using, you would never go wrong with SONY tube

The 900NF is an Aperture Grill monitor. It has better colors than a Shadow Mask monitor like the 955DF. It also has nicer specs (res., refresh rates) Both are flat, but the 900NF is much better IMO.

NF series are Aperture Grille monitors, and the DF series are Shadow Mask monitors. Shadow Mask tends to have much sharper text than AG monitors, while AG monitors own SM's in respect to colors (e.g., graphics). The 900NF is overall better than the 955DF, which is why I'm going to recommend you pay shipping for one ;)

heng1028,
it uses a mitsubishi Diamondtron tube, not a Sony Trinitron. They're almost the same thing though. The Samsung has a much nicer pricetag, however.
