I can live with them, but I must admit it's been a looooooong time, one month shy of two years since I applied for (and later got) a rebate. I applied for my last rebate on 1/30/11 and received it on 5/10/11, WD20EARS $20!
That's the attitude, however when I apply for rebates as much as I try, I usually can't help but get nervous. It could make a guy neurotic.
Today I did all the stuff for the TD rebate on my Intel 180GB HD, I just have to mail the letter now. Presumably I'll get an email in a week or two with the status. I expect to get my $30, but I'm not happy doing it. Would I say I hate rebates? No. They make me nervous is all.
I did all this and it seemed pretty straight forward. They wanted the original UPC attached to the form and a copy of the invoice from TD, which I got yesterday by signing into my TD account. My biggest beef with the whole process is the fact that every time I tried to get at the rebate form PDF (I tried and tried and finally gave up) for I think over 24 hours (I bought on the day before BF at about 10PM), I was unable to access it. My browser waited and waited in vain. Finally, a couple of days later I was able to hit it and print it.TD rebates have gotten a lot better after a few lawsuits.
It is now quite automated and standardized. Download the rebate PDF. Click on link within PDF to be taken directly to a web page to "pre-register" the rebate. After you do that you will be given a PDF file with all your info that you print out and use for submission.
