Which of these would you choose and why? Samsung 840 Pro or OCZ Vector.

Going to buy me a new SSD ^_^

I'd probably take the longer 5 year warranty and the Vector. I think it's a badassed SSD drive.

I feel I take a chance if I choose OCZ Vector. They have designed the entirely SSD in-house and have the worse experience than Samsung. :$

Definitely the Samsung 840 Pro. They both have the same length warranty, but Samsung is sure to be around in 5 years, while who knows what will happen with OCZ.

IMO Samsung all the way alto the OCZ can be a tad tiny bit faster.

With OCZ you get uncertainty of the company.
Also a memory controller not as stable as Sammy SSD.

Go with the 840 Pro all the way! gl

Samsung all the way. Looking at Newegg reviews should help you decide.

Because there has been uncertainty about Samsung 840 Pro, SSD hard drives that have died. That's why I'm unsure. So that's why. :)

I'd buy the vector... I bet its a great SSD. I loved my Vertex 4.

Whichever is cheaper IMO; they both perform similarly. Currently the OCZ vector has an amazon gift card as an incentive, while the 840 pro (correct me if i'm wrong) has AC3 for free at certain retailers. Pick whatever is cheaper and has the better freebie for you.

Unfortunately the AC3 included isn't on steam, which doesn't suit me very well; then again i'm not buying either right now anyway.

Samsung is one of the very few ssd companies that uses very high quality NAND.

Not to mention, they use their own nand. Head to head it's really not close, the 840 Pro takes the vast majority of benches.

They trade blows, they're pretty much equal in every respect. You will never tell a perceptible difference in real performance; in synthetics they are very, very close to each other.

Which is why I stated choose the better deal: do you want an amazon gift card (go OCZ) or do you want non steam AC3 (go 840 pro)
