I have a Zalman ZM VE-400 USB3 enclosure that has hardware AES 256bit. I know there are issues with some SSD's when encrypted, is it the case with the Samsung 840 Pro drive? Will the Sammy drive work in the Zalman enclosure?
I keep my VM's on that drive so the extra speed going from a 7200rpm drive to a SSD is a plus..
Currently the Zalman holds a WD Black Series 7200rpm 750Gb HDD but it sucks so much power that I have to keep it plugged in an active USB3 hub, otherwise it would disconnect randomly.
