Click on the "Share and Save" banner on the right side of the screen at Buydig.com and get a $10 coupon. Also, IIRC, you can get 2% back via Fatcash (Fatwallet.com) and several other cash back sites. 🙂

Thanks, OP. Got me a 128GB version. This is my third, but first toggle NAND drive.
First drive was an OCZ Summit...lord what a mess that was.
Second was Corsair Force 3. Still runs well, just slower since almost full.
This one should be even better...and I always wanted a toolbox that I could force TRIM from when I want it to run. Samsung gives me that. I'm happy.

What is the difference between the standalone, desktop and notebook versions? I can't figure out if the desktop version comes with a 3.5" bay adapter or not.

Oh well, it looks like the deal is over anyhow. I bought the notebook version, I probably should have just gotten the standalone.

I don't think it's over; they just do that 'price shown at the end of checkout' stuff.

How would this compare performance wise to an Intel X25-M?

edit: Oh wow. Just read anandtech's review for the 830 and compared it to the X25...the Samsung blows it away.

In for a 128GB. Thanks Craig good find!

BTW newegg has the 128GB for 129.99 and the 256GB for $429

FYI - the Samsung 256GB is now at $225 shipped. Can be $215 if you have the $10 facebook/twitter/email coupon. Also various cash backs at several sites (2% at FW for example). Getting warmer! 😛

Nice I might get a 2nd one. My first drive arrived, and I got the laptop kit, which came with an adapter to convert sata to usb which was cool. I actually had a few uses for that, and it basically turns any ssd into a USB (2.0) external drive.

This deal is extremely good, the best I've seen on 830's.

i'm kinda kicking myself over buying an m4 4 months ago. these prices are getting so good. maybe i'll get a 256 to put my games on.

if i were really smart i'd get a usb 3 or esata enclosure for media drive and just unplug my bluray burner so i could boot in 6 seconds.

:hmm:

Just got an 830 256gb for $215 no tax, free shipping. Thanks. Quality drives. Price drops will continue aggressively I believe this year into next but for now I needed and this is a great price.

Just send the $10 off deal to yourself on 2nd email account and you can get the discount code

I hope that's not fraudulent? When I see these 'send to second email' manipulations...

Same as sending it to my brother or friend and asking them to simply click. They click, I get $10, they get $5. Buydig rigged it that way. I just skipped the few minutes of asking my brother to click an email link.

Well, I suspect that view by your brother is why they give the discount, so it's fraud.

It'd be like sneaking into a timeshare sales pitch at the end to get the incentive.

If you don't think that BuyDig knows that this will happen......

and to be honest, I suspect the BuyDig doesn't care about the $10 as long as they get a sale.
