Well, I sure think it's a good deal, PlatinumGold. I wish I would have waited for this. I just went to Staples on Saturday and picked up a Philips 107S for $140 after the mail-in rebate. The 753 would have been a better compliment for my Samsung 955DF that I already have. Uh, anyone wanna buy a Philips 107S for $140

Which one is better, Sansung DF or IF?

The way I understand it DF is ShadowMask, but very flat hence the DynaFlat, my suspicion is that it is the same technology as LG's Flatron.

The IF is a Trinitron Tube (Correct me if i'm wrong fellas).

Comparable technologies, it really is what you prefer when you look at them.

The IF will have those Trinitron lines but brighter and more vivid colors. The DF will not have the lines.

THis is good. 753 is sold at B&M for about $280 - $30 MIR. I got mine from buy.com a month ago for about $200 after $30 coupon and $30 MIR.

My understanding isthat the NF model is the trinitron and the DF and IFT are both shadow mask.
I am looking at a 955DF and like it mucho.

The 755DF has more resolution, but is basically the same.

753DF = Max Res 1280 x 1024 at 66HZ - Recommended 1024 X 769 at 85HZ

755DF = Max Res 1600 X 1200 at 68HZ - Recommended 1280 X 1024 at 75HZ

Roy: On both of those models that setting is listed as 1152 x 870 under Macintosh ( they have settings split up for VESA, IBM, & Macintosh).
953 says 75hz
955 says 75, 80hz
