I want to replace my old ViewSonic E771 17" CRT with an affordable flat panel. I live in Argentina, and we don't have al the models and low prices that you americans can take advantage of 🙁

A local retailer has a Samsung 710N 17" flat panel for a decent price. It has a 12ms response time, 600:1 constrat ratio and 300cd/m2 of brightness. I know that 500:1 is the minimum nowdays, and that probably I should be looking for at least an 800:1 solution.

I can't afford a 19" right now, and over here they are quite pricey.

I want opinions about this monitor, if anyone here has had any experience with it.
