Here is a link to the TV on Best Buy's site:

Is there a better option out there in the sub $1K price range. At the moment, I really don't want to spend much more than $1K, but I'd like to have a HDTV for the upcoming Xbox 360 plus to watch my large DVD collection on. Currently I just have an old 27" Sony Wega.

The picture on these CRT based TV's seems nicer than most HDTV projection TV's I've seen (at least in the sub $2K) range and seems a lot nicer than a lot of the similar sized LCD or Plasma screens that I see. Am I crazy for thinking this...

I like this particular Samsung because although it is a CRT, it is a lot slimmer than most similar sized CRT TV's.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I prefer the picture on the Panny CT30WX15 and Sony KV30HS420, tho the size of the samsung is a plus. And no your not crazy, CRT still gives the best picture. That's why Toshiba is developing the newer SED sets (Flat CRT panels).

It's all a toss up, I went with a Sony KDFE42A10, cause ya a CRT has a slightly better picture, but I wanted SIZE hehe.
