i dont trust TD rebates at all, lots of denied, im debating whether to fight them or not.. its waste of time at this point

A lot of the TD hate seems to be from years ago. They have been very good recently.

Still $169, but no rebate. Still, not a bad deal if you can avoid the sales tax.

Not to mention 5% back via Discover cash back (assuming that is still going on).

Edit: It is. That's another $8.50 back per drive.

I'm baffled by these sort of buyers... I've had lots of rebates (including TigerDirect), none rejected. I follow the rules, I make a copy of the completed form with UPC, and if possible print as much as possible through my printer (filling out PDF forms with Acrobat or FoxIt, printing envelopes with Word, etc...)

It seems strange when people say "I've had lots of rebates rejected" - are you sure there isn't something you are doing wrong?
