I Purchased a samsung 244t and love it. I use it as my computer monitor and as hdtv with directv through component video. My only issue is that I have no audio and need to figure out the best way to do this. I am in an office so dont want a full home theathre system. Something simple. Any ideas? What are others doing? Thanks

You could just buy some small, affordable, decent quality speakers - e.g. Logitech or Creative. See their offers, they have speakers for pretty much every possible user and purpose.

Sorry for the OT question but do you notice any input lag on your monitor? I mean, like a small delay e.g. affecting mouse movement.

This would go better in Peripherals section.

Anyway, you can get a cheap Logitech system like the Z-2300 or something. There's a lot of 2.1 and cheap 5.1 options under $100. Name a price range.

To answer your question about lag, there is no lag at all. This is the best monitor I ever had and beats the dell 2405 hands down. Thanks foryour input.

One additional question, I have a set of jbl 2.1 speakers but the connection goes into the computer and not into the audio out on the monitor. Do the speakers that you mention go into the audio out of the monitor or is there an adapter? Or do they go into the back of the directv box?

The disappointing part is I have a nice set of speakers for my computer but they dont seem to work when component is on. Thanks.

Well, a computer speakers work the same, those included. So you'll have the same problem with all the recommendations here as with the JBL 2.1.
