I have no idea how to calibrate a monitor but I know it doesn't look as good as it could. For those with this monitor how did you calibrate it and did you use any of the software it came with?
 
Install monitor driver, Magic Tune and Natural Color

Set it to run at 1680 x 1050 resolution

Play with the settings.

Your tastes are likely different, but my settings are at 100 brightness 90 contrast 40 sharpness.
