I have the Samsung 213T 21" LCD. Does anyone know if it's height adjustable? If so, how do you raise it up?

I thought I remember seeing some literature that stated that it is adjustable, but it doesn't appear to be.

Yes it is.

There should be a button on the back near the "cable management" thing. :)

There's not a button. However, there is a metal thing sticking out at the bottom of the base, but it doesn't appear that you can push it, pull it, or otherwise move it.

Yes that is the "button" you're supposed to push to activate the mechanism that allows for height adjustment.

Can someone chime in who actually owns the monitor?

The metal thing sticking out of the base is a stationary object. It ain't moving.

I'm in a room with 12 of these things. The button at the bottom of the base is for height adjustment. If you've never unlocked it before, it will APPEAR as it does nothing but it does.

From the manual...

Stand Height Adjustment
1. Press the top side of the stand and then push the button at the rear bottom of the stand.
2. You can adjust the stand height using this button.

Unfortunately the manual doesn't show any visual reference for these instructions. I was actually surprised how basic the manual was. In any event, hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.

I think there were likely two versions of the 213T -- one that was height adjustable and one that wasn't. Apparently, I have the one that is not. While I do have a metal knob/lever kinda thing sticking out of the bottom of the base (rear), it is not functional. Everyone that's looked at it agrees. I have pushed it, pulled it, twisted it, turned it, and hammered it. It does not move, nor does it appear that it was designed to move or function. Also, the stem, which would actually telescope up or down if it were height adjustable, does not appear to be designed for such a function either.

for the samsung 213T, try to hold down on the monitor part itself, (push it down), and then try PUSHING the button inwards (toward the front of the monitor). This is how mine works, and it sometimes does not work properly unless the monitor itself is pushed down. Give that a try. I believe all 213T's are height adjustable.

We have about 15 of these monitors where I work, and they most definitely are height adjustable.
When were yours manufactured? There is a sticker on the back of each one with the date and location it was manufactured. I guess it's possible that the newest versions are no longer adjustable, so maybe that is the problem.
