Samsung 20nm Nand for Memory?

Intel has since released their 20nm Nand 355 SSD, but whats happening in the Memory area?

With the success of 30nm Nand Samsung Green DDR3L MV-3V4G3D/US Memory, Samsung committed to producing 20nm Nand 2GB memory Nov 2012 and declared 4, 8 & 16GB memory modules available in 2013.

It seems their 30nm Nand never found it's way into greater then 4GB Sticks.

Considering how great the 30nm MV-3V4G3D/US sticks overclock it would seem 20nm memory would run higher clocks with even less voltage.


Wonder if Apple will be purchasing Samsung 20nm Technology - LOL

If memory goes much smaller we need universal ECC. The probability of a bit flip is getting too high, especially for laptops taken on high-altitude intercontinental trips.
