I need to purchase a new monitor and have only had crt in the past. I'm am looking for a little guidance in purchasing an LCD.
The main difference between these two monitors (204b, 204bw) is one is widescreen. Both have gotten nothing but rave reviews on newegg but I am curious about the disadvantages of a widescreen monitor as some games and apps do not support it yet.
If I were to try and play a game that did not support widescreen would I get a distorted image or bars along the sides, and at what res would it play at with bars? I can live with bars, I watch WS movies on my 32" trinitron all the time, but I can't have distortion.
Currently both these monitors are basically priced the same at Newegg. The bw is $289~ and the b is $329~ -$40 mail in rebate.
