Greetings:
I need to obtain two LCD monitors for two different computers, and have come here, like I usually do, for your wisdom ;p
These monitors will be used by my children for school and games. They are fairly serious gamers, of course I limit that time.
That said, while I am sure the Samsung 193P is an excellent choice for non-gaming sessions, I am curious if anyone knows how it would stand up to games, MMORPGs in particular.
My kids don't play first person action shooters, but they love games like DAoC, Lineage 2, and have been beta testing Worlds Of Warcraft (amazing game btw).
I'm new to LCD's and really don't have an appreciation of the ghosting concerns and such. I am also concerned about refresh rates, actually very concerned. I don't want my kids on the computer for long periods of time where they end up with eye strain.
I realize one monitor is 19" and one is 17", but if I go with the 710T, it is because I believe it to be a signifcantly better gaming choice, and more than adequate "day to day" work monitor. Sounds wierd I know, but I realize gaming requires more from hardware than office/school work does.
Any insight would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
