Samsung 172x 25ms and 172x 12ms. How to know?

Hi all

I googled about the Samsung 172x lcd monitor and
some sites say that the first shipments had a 25ms respond
time panel, it was a mistake from samsung. the new ones have 12ms panel.

How can I know that the lcd have 12ms panel? any prodouct
code, serial or something?
The new ones have a dvi cable, does this mean if the package
doesnt have the dvi cable the panel is 25ms?
