Samsung 171P - same as the 172T?

Hi!

I saw this awsome "Porsche" monitor for a very cheap price.

Due to speccs it looks like this is the same monitor as the 172t, is this true? The 172t is extremly expensive (actually it has the same price as the 191t) here in Sweden. 171p is sold for $150 less than the 172t.

ideas?

The 171P is the older version, and the 172T is the new, improved version if i remember correctly

171P and 172T came out at the same time.
171P has portrait, 172T doesn't.
171P has F.A.Porsche design, high-tech light touch button, 172T has narrow bezel.
171P costs higher than 172T.
If you like Samsung LCD, either one is fine.

this isnt quite true. i was waiting on a preordered 172t for a long time and ended getting a 171p instead since i was tired of waiting. the 171p had been out for quite a while before the 172t was released in the us
