Not a hot deal, but for those in need, it's decent. The toner refill/drum goes for 69.99 in most places, like Fry's plus tax. That's 75.76 total for me in CA. The total from Provantage is 61.94. That's an 18%+ savings. As I said, not great but these things are rarely on sale and it's the best price I found. Similarly, the M4500 toners are normally 79.00 and here, they are 53.51.
Samsung cartridges
Other toner cartridges

Also, the Brother 1440 laser printer, which a number of people have bought has the TN-430 cartridge for 37.51 plus shipping. The specs for the 1440 state the toner replacement is the Tn-430 even though the cartridge specs on the page doesn't make reference to the 1440. The Brother 1440 owners would know if this is true.

Have you had any problems with your 1210? All my printouts from the main paper feed have "smudges" at the top. Not ink, but something is rubbing off on each page I print out.

Please let me know.

Thanks.

I haven't had that problem with my 1210. I have only had it for a few weeks, but my boss has an ML4500 (Samsung-2 year old model with 2 MB memory) that has smudges on the bottom of the page. It appears to be from the pick-up wheel, though I am not positive. Call Samsung and ask them. I think they have an instant replacement policy if it is defective.

I get the "smudges" on top when I duplex print, but it's fine when I print on just one side. It's almost as if the toner hasn't completely dried.

Thanks for the responses guys. I went ahead and emailed Samsung about it. I also noticed on their website, Samsung has a 30 refund/exchange policy with its dealers and have a 1 year warranty that features replacement if they cant fix it. They either give you a new or refurb.

But anyway... i messed around with software settings and that didn't help. But along the way I think I solved the problem. The problem is the cheap multi-use paper I was using. I used some thicker stock HP Bright Wite paper I had left over. After several prints the smudges have disappeard. I am pretty sure it was the thickness of the paper or quality of the paper that let the paper feed mechanism smudge it.

I am so glad I don't have to get into that Fry's Return/Exchange line!!!!

Thanks again and let me know if it works for you guys.
