Yep. I highly doubt CrapMart would pay Pepsi the huge royalty/licensing fees to rename Pepsi to Sams Cola

aren't a lot of generic products manufactured by the original manufacturer? something about, they know that they wouldn't get any of that money from their actual product, so they make deals to produce the off brand as well?

Not that I know of. I do know that many of the generic brands (ie Walmart, grocery store) are manufactured by the same plant.

Like minendo said, a lot of the time they just produce it in the same factory. There are times where the store will pay the manufacturer to slap it's own label on (Staples/OfficeMax/Office Depot do that a lot with their office supplies - made by a big name company like Mead but has the Staples brand on it) but will sell for the same price. I highly doubt CrapMart would pay the licensing fees to Pepsi for them to slap "Sams cola" on the can and sell it for 1/3 of what Pepsi sells there for, on the same shelf to boot. Maybe if Sams sold strictly their own cola and for a higher price maybe, but not as a "discount" cola.

My family is in the wholesale beverage business and I was put in charge of a "private label" brand. It was scary when I was asked which on of thirty orange flavors I wanted. I think after the 20 cup of "orange" and 15 cup of "grape," I was ready to hurl.

I heard awhile back that Sam Walton bought the "new coke" forumla and whalla ...you have Sam's Cola.

To me it tastes more like coke than pepsi. Pepsi is really sweet.

I like Pepsi better. I don't think the stuff in Sam's Cola is the same in Pepsi's Cola.

I work for a franchise Pepsi bottler...Sams Club cola is as close to tasting like Pepsi that I have ever tried. No...Pepsi does not bottle anything other than Pepsi or Pepsi products: Mt. Dew, CF Pepsi, Code Red, Pepsi Blue etc.

I've noticed that, too. If you're a Pepsi drinker, I'd say the Sam's Choice Cola is definitely a good substitute if you're short on money.

If you're going to overclock, you'll need to use watercooling. Preferably the solid variety, cubed in a glass.

It's not the same, but generic cola's in general have gotten so much better than before.

I like Dr. Thunder myself (Dr. Pepper clone), and it's pretty good!

IIRC Code Red = Dr. Pepper, not Pepsi

Where can I find the firmware? Do you have to use a special flash utility? I'm very, very intersted in this upgrade. :)
