I couldn't justify paying Sams a membership since their prices aren't any lower than Walmart or much lower than Target. Plus to really save money you have to buy big freaking containers of stuff, and I ended up throwing too much away that I didn't save anything. Costco, OTOH, has some pretty good prices.

I just renewed mine for $15, but I saved over that just buying tires for my sons car. I shop there about once a month, but I have 3 kids so buying in bulk is a way of life.

You have to know your prices though, because some things are not a bargain there.

i gave up my sams club membership a few years ago. We now use Costco and i think they have better products at cheaper prices.

$45/year Sam's club is cheaper.

I just paid $15 for a membership to sams after I found out I can get one free from work. :( I don't buy much there, just usually stop in and hit all the food sample carts then leave.

Sam's Club is all we have up here, and they have decent prices. We do not have a Wal-Mart or a Costco. My Business Membership is only $15.00 annually.

Mine's free, whenever my dad renews his business membership mine renews automatically for free (no, he doesn't pay for mine). I have never in my life even seen a CostCo, and I do my monthly shopping at Sam's. I also have a Wal-Mart within spitting distance from Sam's, and both are very short walking distance from my apartment.

I don't have any problem with waste from Sam's. Everything I buy is either freezable or doesn't spoil at any kind of quick rate (iced tea mix, soup, etc..), so it lasts me a month at the very least, other than cereal and milk. But milk is sold in normal gallons.

45 buck a year for a costco membership, but that is for 2 cards. split it with someone you know and you will pay less. ;)

we use the executive membership and it is 100 bucks a year. But we do get 2% back. If you do manage to spend 3000 or more a year, then it ends up costing less the a standard membership. I think we are already past the halfway point in spending :)

My mom and dad have a joint membership at costco (price club) and they pay $45 annually. It is a deal to us. We go there every weekend and save on a lot of stuff. It easily, easily adds up over the whopping $45 fee...

CostCo also jacked up their membership from $40 to $45. But it's still worth it, I save at least $20 everytime we shop there.

Arent Sam's and Walmart one in the same? (i know it is a different layout/format, same company tho, right?)
