... his FIFTH US Open title, and is the oldest player since 1970 to do so at age 31. Not bad for someone who hasn't won a tournament in two years.

Not to mention it was a great match to watch... it's great to see those two (Sampras and Agassi) playing class A tennis again.

It was a great match. I was rooting for Agassi though. But I would have been glad to see either of them win.
he needs to hurry up and retire.
Because he just won his 5th US Open?

I was pretty disappointed with this match. Sampras played very well, but Agassi definitely wasn't playing half his best. Most of his shots were unforced errors, and he was doing 0 effort to go after the balls.
Guess his semi-final against Hewitt yesterday tired him a lot.

Too bad, I was really looking forward to a great match. All we got were aces from sampras, errors from Agassi, a few errors from sampras in the third set and that was it. No spectacular points! :(

I'm just happy somebody finally beat Hewitt for a change. Good job for Pete though, he said he was still gonna play this next year out though so maybe if he wins Wimbledon he'll quit.

If that was the case, you'd probably want the Williams sisters to retire too! :D

I just finished watching the match! (I recorded it and watched it later) It wasn't that great, but still an exciting match! I was so scared when Sampras got fatigued in the 3rd set; I wanted Sampras to win. I think Sampras has a chance to win Wimbledon if he gets an easy draw. I don't see why people want stars to end with a bang. A lot of them play for fun since they are so rich already. He really enjoys playing so why should he stop? It's not like he has to try to get in to the main draw of a tournament.
