I need to do a presentation for the powers-that-be on streaming media - We're going to use it for our big annual meeting. Some folks seem to think that we need huge, high-bandwidth clips (700Kb/s) to have decent quality video. I'm trying to convince them that no, all we really need is ~150Kb/s. Only catch is that our desktops only have Windows Media 8 installed with the default codecs - No DiVX here!
Does anyone know of any good stream sources where I can find a good, high-bandwidth (500K+) Windows Media stream? I found a few good quicktime ones (but nothing with Windows Media. Failing that, a very high-quality AVI that isn't encoded with Divx would be fine, too. I can handle the stream conversion and the re-encoding to lower bitrates, but I'm just looking for a decent sample to demo. If you happen to know of any good "talking head" video, that would be even better.
