Has anyone who's still using the "free" SamKnows Netgear 3500L router been able to (somehow) overwrite the SamKnows firmware with the latest stock Netgear firmware?
Since the initial 3 year "commitment" is now over with, and I'd prefer to overwrite the non-standard SamKnows firmware with the latest official Netgear firmware:
http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/32414/Netgear-Stock-Firmware-For-WNR3500L-North-America/
WNR3500L_V1.2.2.48_35.0.55NA.chk
Most recent Samknows firmware:
https://files.samknows.com/~support/firmware/
WNR3500L-V1.2.2.46_35.0.57SK.chk

On another forum,
http://www.myopenrouter.com/forum/t...1-software-how-to-upgrade/?highlight=samknows
a poster mentions this file:
http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/25741/DD-WRT-for-SamKnows-WNR3500L-v24-K2.6-svn14289-Mini-CHK/
Would flashing that firmware enable the ability to subsequently re-flash with the latest official Netgear firmware?

Thanks in advance.

It should, but honestly I'd flash Tomato afterwards instead.
