Same ole Dodgers, Same ole Braves.

Ya think Roger McDowell will have the same effect that Leo had on his pitchers? McDowell was known as quite a jokester with the Mets.

braves have offense, i wasn't really concerned about that this year, their pitching is very suspect tho. 🙁

Bullpen doesn't look so hot now but its only the first game. With Larry healthy I think they'll have enough offense in the middle of the lineup to make things up.

the question is, can the Mets beat the braves this year.

i really don't see the marlins, Nats or phillies challenging this year. so it will be Mets vs Braves. 😉

if i were a mets fan, i'd be concerned with the overall age of the team.

The Mets aren't THAT old. The average age of the infield is probably the youngest in the majors with Delgado being the old man of the group. Beltran, Nady, Heilman, Sanchez, Julio, Bannister, Zambrano, Diaz..etc.. are all fairly young and you have Milledge, Pelfry and others waiting in the wings. Now if you were talking about Pedro, Glavine and Trachsel then yea...some worries there. Julio Franco can probably play till he is 70.

mmm...looking at some stats. Average age of the Mets = 30.3, Braves = 28.2. I wish I could filter out old man Franco.

..ok..back to the Braves now. Reitsma is closing things up now. Furcal with a leadoff bunt base hit.

Wow, the Braves' pen REALLY stinks.

Can't be much worse than LA's pen. First time in a decade the Dodgers have a good offense ... and they're still below .500. Duanar Sanchez for Seo looking bad =

Broxton and Martin looking good
