Same old Same old K7S5A

Well I ordered this board because it was a Great Value on Toms Hardware, however I've never seen it work. I got the board and put it together and the system never posted. Same as everyone else it seems. I've done everything from clear the Cmos to dancing an old Indian Motherboard Dance around my home office, and still, a black screen. I guess the consensus on this site, and many others, is that I just take the loss and get a different board.

I wonder if ECS even reads this stuff, they never returned my email or anything, and they don't seem to have any answers on their website. I guess I shouldn't expect anything more for 65 bucks. This is a good lesson, you get what you pay for. You buy cheap, you buy twice. Thats what I always say.

Peace Out

If it doesn't post then there is a reason for it. If you want assistance, post your specs, components, steps you've taken, etc. Then maybe someone can figure out the trouble. Otherwise, as suggested, RMA and complain in the B&M area.

LOL, how about posting some specs?

My guess is that you're using a weak/inferior power supply. That's the number one cause of "NO POST!" and such cries.

I have built two systems using this board, and will be building a third in a week or so - my relatives are extremely happy with their systems. I chose it because I couldn't afford to be doing support all the time - wanted something stable. I'm considering replacing my system for one of the same.
