Hi,

I'm currently builing 24 computers using Intel D815EEA motherboards. Currently, on ten computer, 5 of them have a weird floppy drive problem. Sometimes I can boot from a floppy, sometimes not. Sometimes I can boot and I get reading error when I try to copy files from floppy to hard drive. I've tried to reset the bios, changing floppy drives (they are Panasonic), changing floppy cables. Nothing helps. The 5 others computer, using the same board model, same floppy model, same case, same ram and all, works perfectly. Anyone ran into this problem before and have a workaround ? Thanks.

I had a similar problem at work. We ordered 20 compaq ens sff pcs and 10 out of 20 of them had HD failures within 24 hrs. Turned out to be a defect at the time of manufacturing. They were all from the same lot.
