Same Calendar and Contacts on Android and Windows

What's a good way to have the same calendar appointments and contacts(email & phone) on both a Windows 10 desktop and an Android 9.0 phone? Right now I use Microsoft Calendar and People apps on both a Windows 10 desktop and a Windows 10 Mobile phone, but I'm going to be replacing the phone with an Android phone in a few weeks.

Wouldn't the Microsoft outlook app be ideal for this?

Thanks for the reply. Using the Microsoft Outlook app on the Android phone is probably the way I'll go. I was debating whether to use MS apps on Android or Google apps on Windows.

If you use Microsoft services they work really well on Android. It's not my thing but you can turn an android phone into a pretty much Microsoft phone. Theres the office suite, the Microsoft launcher, you can use bing instead of google search or maps (if you're masochistic).
Android is pretty flexible about what services you use.

You'll want to stick with the google play store though!

FYI, Outlook for android does not sync contact or calendar entries to the native android counterparts. So if you have an outlook appointment, there is no direct way to push that appointment such that it shows in the way more useful android calendar. You can manually export/import contacts between outlook contacts and people.

Here's an update. I was able to get this set up the way I wanted by deleting all contacts in the Microsoft People app and adding them into Google Contacts. I added my Google account to the list of accounts on my Win10 machine and then enabled syncing of Contacts but not Email or Calendar. I have MS Outlook installed on the Android phone and get the same Calendar, Email, and Contacts on both devices.

Google Calendar and Contacts would be the obvious choice and it's pretty streamlined since their sync works really well. I am in the same situation (WIN10 desktop and Android phones) and utilize the web-based Google Calendar daily. Any update made on desktop appears on the phones (including shared calendar to my wife) instantly with no need to manually push/pull - and vice versa if you update through the phone. On the phone, employ the Calendar widget and it's super practical on a daily basis.

You can also integrate Google Keep for a sync'd to-do list. Not sure how flexible/fancy MS's calendar is, but my suggestion is to get off MS and get onboard with Google. Through Gmail, your MS email can also be automatically forwarded there, as I do that with my Hotmail. It can still send out as the MS address if you need to stay on that email box.
