I am trying to setup samba on my network that currently works.
when i try to get into network neigborhood, it says that I don't have access to it.

do you have to log into a NT domain to use samba?

i am very confused about samba, any help would be apriciated

No you don't have to logon to a domain to use samba. Also make sure that you have encrypted passwords enabled in samba otherwise it won't work.
