I finally got SAMBA up to where I can see it from computers with the same workgroup name.
The goal is to build a machine with over 100gigs of RAID'd storage for people here at work to use. Our Novell servers are getting full of employees BS that can go somewhere else. Plus, over time, we would like to move over to a Linux/Unix ONLY network.
I am using Webmin to set things up. So far I have created a couple share directorys and wrote some .txt files to them for test. But when I try to copy a larger file (4MB) from a windows client I get no status bar. Just the hourglass, and then it tells me it could not copy for various reasons.
Does anyone have any tips on how to configure SAMBA for about 100 users? Know that each user wants his/her directory to be seen by only them.
Thanks ...
