Samba 2.2.2 through 2.2.6 Vuln

If you guys out there are running Samba 2.2.2 through 2.2.6 then there is a new version out. Check out http://www.samba.org for a new version of this fileserving software. The vulnerability is a ROOT exploit so you really need to pick this up if you are running it.

PS: The last USA mirror (both website and FTP) seems to be the quickest, any time of day.
 
Yeah, I got this in my e-mail this morning (I'm on the slackware-security list). My samba isn't bound to my external connection, but you don't take chances when it comes to root holes. I updated right away! 🙂
