Two clips from her latest episode.
She's had a number of really good segments already but her razor sharp characterization of congress around 5:20 in the former and the clips of her interviewing both the Texas representative and the pro-choice activist in the latter are exceptional. She is unafraid to challenge them and even though she supports the activist in principal she is still clearly frustrated at the activist's approach and demeanor.
I do think simply 'pointing out problems' is something of a low-hanging fruit at times and the interviews can make her seem like she's just being disrespectful or obstinate - but hell, the show isn't that long, you do what you can.
I also think it's interesting how it seems like Daily Show alum like Bee and Oliver are willing to cross the line between "comedy" and "advocacy" more readily. It's not overt but I feel there's more of a "call to arms" or "you have to know about this to change it" tone to Full Frontal and Last Week Tonight compared to both the past and present incarnation of The Daily Show.
